Enhanced Tweed Finishing Process:
We have recently refined the finishing process for all Gorkha GNW tweed garments, introducing significant improvements over our original method. Previously, we used a rotary washing machine. Today, for our regular tweeds, we have transitioned to a drum washing machine, combined with enhanced felting technology.
Rather than relying solely on traditional foot felting, our updated process begins with washing and drying the garment in a drum machine using a small amount of herbal soap. This is then followed by the traditional foot felting technique.
The result is tweed that is noticeably softer, shinier, and more refined. These enhancements have not only improved the quality and efficiency of our washing and finishing steps but have also further strengthened Gorkha GNW’s reputation among tweed connoisseurs. Consequently, demand has risen, and our customer base continues to expand.

Rooted in generations of Himalayan weaving traditions, our tweed fabrics are crafted using premium natural fibers and time-honored Nepali techniques designed for durability, warmth, and timeless style.
